Montone is well situated for easy access to all the wonderful sites of Umbria and Tuscany including, in under an hour, Cortona, Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio, Citta di Castello, Sansepolcro, Anghiari, Arrezo and Lago Trasimeno. Siena and Florence are a pleasant day trip, around 2 hours away and Rome is about 2½ hours away by car. Florence and Rome can also be easily reached by train.
